Pressure (P) at the bottom of the tank is given by P=hdg

=1m×1000kg×9.8ms−2=9800Nm−2

Surface area at the bottom of the tank =2m×1.5m=3m2

∴Thrustatthebottomofthetank=force×area

=9800Nm−2×3m2=29,400N.
