a cuboid has a total surface area of 50 m square and lateral surface area is 30 m square find the area of its base

Total surface area of cuboid =2*(length *breadth+breadth *height + height *length)=50 square m....... (1)


Lateral surface area of cuboid =2(breadth *height + height *length) =30 square m.......... (2)


subtracting (2) from (1)

2(length *breadth) =14 square m

L * B=14÷2 square m

=7 square metre

Area of the base of cuboid =7 square metre
