lateral surface area = 152cm^2

2( l + b) × h = 152 ---(1)

total surface area = 280

2( l + b) × h + 2lb = 280 --(2)

subtract (2) and (1) , we get

2lb = 280 - 152

2lb = 128

lb = 64 => l × b = 64

area of the top = 64cm^2

cost of painting 1cm^2 = ₹18

cost of painting the top of cuboid

= 64 × 18 = ₹1152

Answer:

cost of painting the top of the cuboid

= ₹1152
