Answer:

Total surface area = 2( Surface area of base ) + (Surface area of 4 walls)

40=2(S)+26

2S=14

S=7 m2

Hence, surface area of base is 7 m2.

Answer:

7m^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

T.S.A = 40 m^{2}

L.S.A = 26 m^{2}

area of base = 1/2 ( T.S.A - L.S.A ) = 1/2 x 14 = 7 m^{2}
