Solutions :-

Given :
Total surface area of cuboid = 16 unit²
Lateral surface area of cuboid = 14 unit²

We know that,
Total surface area = 2(lb + bh + hl) sq. unit
Lateral surface area = 2h (l + b) sq. unit

Find the area of base :-

 Area \: of \: base \: = \frac{TSA - CSA}{2} \\ \\ = \frac{16 - 14}{2} \\ \\ = \frac{2}{2} = 1

Hence,
Area of base of a cuboid = 1 unit²
