Answer:

160 = Number Of Smaller Cubes Made Answer

Explanation:

This was also a very difficult question for me before but it's pretty easy, you just calculate the volume of both and then divide the smaller cube's volume from the original cubes' volume to get the number of smaller cubes made.

In essence you are just calculating how many smaller cube's volumes added will make the bigger cube's volume since each cube will have the same volume you are just calculating how many smaller cubes will make the bigger cube.

Also the material of the cube-metal is just there to confuse you and to make the answer seem more related to the real world, they are trying to make the question seem authentic in real world context. But it is not relative to the question.

Each time a side of cuboid is being multiplied with another it is calculating the space in between as well so, three dimensions multiplied will make the product in ³, hence all volumes of all shapes are calculated in ³. You can also see this as if algebraic variables cm, cm and cm are being multiplied, when variables are multiplied their power levels are added, so cm x cm x cm would cm³. Of course that's only relevant if you have studied this yet, otherwise pay no heed to it since it will only confuse you more.

Cubes are 3 dimensional squares so just like a square's, all of cube's sides or edges will also always be of the same length, so if one side or edge of a cube is of 3 cm in length then all sides of that cube will be of 3 cm.

"Cube", "³", or simply "to the power of 3" are terms used to describe that the number in particular is meant to be multiplied by itself or the same number 3 times in a row. So (3)³ will be considered equal to and the same as 3 x 3 x 3

So,

Solution:

Volume Of Cuboid = Length x Width x Height

V = l x w x h

V =  20 cm x 18 cm x 12 cm

V = 20 x 18 x 12

V = 360 x 12

V = 4,320 cm³

Now,

Volume Of Cube = L³

V = (3)³

V = (3 x 3 x 3)

V = (27)

V = 27 cm³

Now,

To calculate the number of cubes that can be made we divide the cuboid's volume by the cubes' volume to get how many of the cube's will result in the cuboid.

So,                                                                                                    160

V Of Cuboid/ V Of Cube = Number of smaller Cubes          27⟌4320

4,320 cm³/27 cm³ = Number of smaller Cubes                          -27↓ ❚

160 = Number Of Smaller Cubes Made Answer                        162 ❚

                                                                                                       -162 ↓

Whenever 2 consecutive 0's are placed in the remainder         0000

a single 0 is added to the front of the quotient or answer

it does not matter if one of them comes as the remainder of subtraction and the other is just brought down to make it bigger if there are two consecutive 0's a single 0 will be added to the quotient. the quotient is present above the dividend.

Or you can just see this as if 27 x 0 = 0.

I worked really hard on the explanation so please mark me as brainliest, I will be very thankful.
