GIVEN :

=> DIMENSIONS OF A CUBOID :

LENGTH :

=> 60CM

BREADTH :

=> 54CM

HEIGHT :

=> 30CM

_____________________________

DIMENSION OF A CUBE :

=> SIDE :

=> 6 CM

______________________________

TO FIND :

=> HOW MANY CUBES WILL BE PLACED IN THAT CUBOID

______________________________

STEP 1 :

=> FIND THE VOLUME OF THAT CUBOID

______________________________

VOLUME OF A CUBOID :

=> LENGTH * BREADTH * HEIGHT

=> 60 CM * 54 CM * 30 CM

=> 97,200 CM^3

_____________________________

STEP 2 :

=> FIND THE VOLUME OF 1 CUBE

_____________________________

VOLUME OF A CUBE :

=> ( SIDE ) ^ 3

=> ( 6 CM ) ^ 3

=> 216 CM^3

_____________________________

STEP 3 :

=> DIVIDE THE VOLUME OF CUBOID BY THE VOLUME OF ONE CUBE

_____________________________

NO. OF CUBES CAN BE PLACED IN A CUBOID :

=> VOLUME OF A CUBOID / VOLUME OF 1 CUBE

=> 97,200 CM^3 / 216 CM^2

=> 450

______________________________

SO,

=> 450 CUBES CAN BE PLACED IN THAT CUBOID

Volume of the cuboid = l × b × h = 60 cm × 54 cm × 30 cm = 97200 cm3

Volume of the cube = (Side)3 = (6)3 = 216 cm3

Number of the cubes from the cuboid

=Volume of the cuboid/ Volume of cube

=97200/216

= 450

Hence, the required number of cubes = 450.
