Given

Length of cuboid is twice that of its breadth.

it's height is 4cm

it's volume is 288cm³

Answer

Let the breadth be x cm

Therefore, length = 2x cm

Volume = L × B × H

⟹ 288 = x × 2x × 4

\sf{\implies\: {\dfrac{288}{4}}\: =\: 2x^2}

⟹ 2x² = 72

\sf{\implies\: x^2\: =\: {\dfrac{72}{2}}}

⟹ x² = 36

\sf{\implies\: x\: =\: \sqrt{36}}

⟹ x = 6 cm

Now,

Length = 2x = 2×6 = 12 cm

Breadth = x = 6 cm
