Therefore the rise i water level in the vessel  is  = 0.5 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that , a cuboid of dimension 8 cm × 6 cm ×4 cm is immersed completely in a vessel containing water and the dimension of vessel are 24 cm × 16 cm × 12 cm

∴The volume of cuboid is = (8×6×4) cubic cm = 192 cubic cm

Let , the rise in water level in the vessel be = x cm

According to problem ,

24 ×16 ×x = 192            [The length of the vessel =26 cm and breadth= 16 cm]

x = \frac{192}{24\times 16}

⇔x = 0.5 cm

Therefore the rise i water level in the vessel  is  = 0.5 cm.
