Answer:

First we have to find the volume of the cuboid,I.e,

15x16x12 = 2880 cm3

Then we have to divide it by the volume of the cube,I.e,

2x2x2 = 8cm3

Now,

2880/8, it will result in an answer of about 360 cubes

Answer

360 boxes can formed by melting cuboid

Given

  • Dimensions of cuboid
  • Side of Cube = 2cm

To Calculate

  • Number of cubes formed

Solution

Cuboid

Length = 16cm

Breadth = 15cm

Height = 12cm

Volume of Cuboid

 \bf \implies l \times b \times h

\bf \implies 16 \times 15 \times 12

\bf \implies 2880 {cm}^{3}

Volume of Cube

\bf \implies  {side}^{3}

\bf \implies  {2}^{3}

\bf \implies 2 \times 2 \times 2

\bf \implies 8 {cm}^{3}

Number of cubes that were formed

\bf  Volume \:  of \:  Cuboid  \div  Volume \:  of  \: Cube

 \bf \implies 2880 \div 8

 \bf \implies 360 \: cubes

Therefore, Number of cubes that were formed are 360.
