A cuboid tank is 35m long 20m wide and 18m high. It has water up to height of 10cm. How much more water can be poured

Solutions :-

Given :
Length of cuboidal tank = l = 35 m
Breadth = b = 20 m
Height = h = 18 m

It has water up to height (H) = 10 cm = 0.1 m

How much more water can be poured :-

Volume of cuboidal tank - Volume of water
= [ lbh - lbH] cu. units
= [ lb(h - H] cu. units
= 35 × 20 (18 - 0.1) m³
= 700 × 17.9 m³
= 12530 m³

Hence,
12530 m³ more water can be poured.
