Procedure:-

Firstly calculate volume of cuboidal block,

then calculate volume of each cube.

After that to find number of cubes we have to divide volume of cuboidal block by volume of each cube.

Solution :-)

Volume of cuboidal block which have dimensions 5 m x 2m x 1m = 5 × 2 × 1

= 10cubic meters.

Volume of cubes with edge 1 metre = 1 × 1 × 1

= 1 cubic metres .

Now ,

No. \: of \: cubes = \dfrac{vol. \: of \: cuboid}{volume \: of \: 1 \: cube} \\ = \frac{10}{1} \\ = 10 \: cubes

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Dimensions of a cuboidal block of wood = 5m × 2m × 1m

Dimensions of the cubes = 1m × 1m × 1m

To Find :-

Number of cubes can be cut

Formula to be used :-

Volume of Cube

Solution :-

Putting all the values, we get

Number of cubes =  Volume of the cuboidal piece/Volume of the cube

Number of cubes = (5 × 2 × 1)/(1 × 1 × 1)

Number of cubes = 10 cubes

Hence, the number of cubes are 10 cubes.
