Answer:

Distance of the bolt from the roof is 3 m

Explanation:

As we know that bolt is released from the top of the car

So here we can say that acceleration of bolt with respect to car is given as

a_{bc} = a_b - a_c

as we know that car is slipping on the inclined plane of angle "theta"

so we will have

a_c = g sin\theta \hat i

now we know that bolt is falling freely downwards

So the two components of its acceleration is given as

a_b = g sin\theta \hat i + g cos\theta \hat j

now we have

a_{bc} = g cos\theta \hat j

so the bolt will fall downwards along its height so the distance from the roof is same as that of height

d = H = 3 m
