To Find :-

  • Number of Pieces made.

Given :-

  • Dimensions of Cuboidal iron pieces = 12 m × 4 m × 40 cm

  • Dimension of Cubical iron piece = 4cm

Step By Step Solution :-

  • First step is to make all the value same.

Dimensions of Cuboidal iron piece

Length = 12m = 12 × 100 = 1,200 cm

Breadth = 4m = 4 × 100 = 400 cm

Height = 40 cm

Dimensions of 1 Cubical iron piece

Side = 4 cm

  • Second step is to find the number of pieces that were made.

Now,

Volume of Cuboidal Iron piece = Cubical Iron pieces

[ Because cubical iron pieces are made up of a single Cubodial Iron Piece ]

Length × Breadth × Height = Side³ × number of iron pieces

So,

 \implies \cancel \cfrac{1200 \times 400 \times  40}{   4 \times 4 \times 4}   \\  \\  \implies300000

Therefore the number of Pieces = 3,00,000
