2m×1m×1m= 2m³,

1m×1/2m×1/2m= (1/4)m³

So, ratio of the two metal block is 2/(1/4)= 8

hence, weight of the smaller block=400/8= 50kg

hope this helps :)

Answer:50kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of block=(2×1×1)=2m^3

Since, weight of metal block=400kg

Or, density×volume=400kg

Or, density×2m^3 =400kg

Or, density=400/2

Or, density=200kg/m^3

Now,by question,

New volume=1×1/2×1/2

=1/4 m^3

Therefore new weight of metal block of same material=volume×density

Weight=1/4×200

=50kg
