= 2[(20x16) + (16x14) + (14x20)]

= 2[320+224+280]

= 1648 sq cm

and 12 such tins will need 12*1648 = 19776 sq cm.

Mind you each tin can hold only 20x16x14 = 4480 cc or 4.48 litres of petrol.
