A cuboidal room has four identical cylindrical pillars having radius 0.7 m, and height equal to the height of the room. They
are located such that there is a certain distance between each of them as well as between them and the walls. The length and
breadth of the room are 8 m and 5 m, respectively. The cost of painting the four walls and the pillars, at the rate of 0.7
is 10,900. Calculate the height of the room.

Answer:

its easy

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that,

CSA of cylinder =2πrh

Radius of a pillar =14cm=0.14m

Height of pillar =1m

CSA of 1 pillar =2×

7

22

×0.14×1

=44×0.02=0.88m

2

CSA of 20 pillars =0.88×20=17.6m

2

Cost of painting per meter square =Rs.10

Therefore,

Cost of painting 17.6m

2

=17.6×10=Rs.176

hope this is clear.
