The required cost of the steel

will be Rupees 25,680,000

Given that,

Length of the cuboidal box is = 50 cm

Breadth of the cuboidal box is = 60 cm

Height of the cuboidal box is = 70 cm

Number of boxes = 20 boxes

Cost of 1 metre square is = rupees 60

To find : Cost of the steel required.

Process :

First, we have to find the area of the cuboidal steel box. The formula to find the area of a cuboid is -

Area = 2(lb + bh + lh)

Putting the values in this formula, we get,

Area = 2(50 x 60 + 60 x 70 + 50 x 70)

Area = 2(3000 + 4200 + 3500)

Area = 2 x 10700

Area = 21400 metre square

Area of 1 box is = 21400 metre square

So, area of 20 boxes will be = 21400 x 20

= 428000 metre square

Cost of 1 metre square = Rupees 60

Cost of 428000 metre square = Rupees 60 x 428000

= Rupees 25,680,000
