The cuboidal tank can contain 108,000 cm³ of water more.

• Given,

Length of the cuboidal tank (l) = 30 cm

Breadth of the tank (b) = 30 cm

Height of the tank (h) = 1m 60 cm

=> Height of the tank = 100 cm + 60 cm = 160 cm

• ∴  Volume of the tank = l × b × h

Or, volume of the tank = 30 cm × 30 cm × 160 cm

Or volume of the tank = 144,000 cm³

• Height of the tank till which water is filled (h₁) = 40 cm

=> Volume of water already filled in the tank = l × b × h₁

Or, volume of water already filled = 30 cm × 30 cm × 40 cm

Or, volume of water already filled = 36000 cm³

• Therefore, volume of water that can be filled more in the tank = Volume of the tank - Volume of water already filled

=> Volume of water that can be filled more = 144,000 cm³ - 36000 cm³ = 108,000 cm³
