To find, the volume of the wood = ?
∴ The inner volume = 120 cm × 70 cm × 45 cm
= 378000
Now, adding thickness
120 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 125 cm, 70 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 75 cm and
45 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 50 cm
∴ The volume of outside = 125 cm × 75 cm × 50 cm
= 468750
∴ The volume of the wood = The volume of outside - The inner volume
= 468750 - 378000
= 90750
Hence, the volume of the wood is 90750 .
