A current carrying straight conductor is placed in east west direction. What will be the direction of the force experienced by the conductor due to earth's magnetism

The direction of the earth's magnetic field is from north to south direction. And if the direction of the current flowing through the conductor is east to west,then the conductor will suffer a downward deflection, due to Flemming's left hand rule.
