A current is flowing vertically upward in a wire. What will be the direction of field lines if:
(a) the wire is in front of you?
(b) the wire is at your backside?

Electric field direction and Magnetic field directions are both shown in above picture.

Magnetic field: when Current flows vertically up Magnetic Lines of forecs curl around Anticlockwise Around the conductor .

Use your right Hand to curl up the wire and Thumb pointing in direction of Current . figures then show Magnetic field Lines.

Electric Field . inside the conductor there No field. In a Flowing current Field is in direction of the current flow.
