GiveN :-

  • Current = 200 mA

  • Resistance = 4 kΩ

To FinD :-

  • Potential difference across the resistor

SolutioN :-

Convert 200 milliampere into ampere

\rm\rightarrow  \: Current  \: (I) = 200 mA \\  \\ \rm\rightarrow\:Current\:(I)=\dfrac{200}{1000}\:A \\  \\ \rm\rightarrow\:Current\:(I)=0.2\:A

Convert 4 kΩ into Ω

 \rightarrow \rm Resistance (R) = 4 \:  kΩ \\  \\ \rm\rightarrow\:Resistance\:(R)=4\times\:1000 \\  \\\rm\rightarrow\:Resistance\:(R)=4000\:Ω

Now potential difference is :

 \large :  \implies \boxed{ \bf V = IR} \\  \\ :  \implies \sf V = 0.2 \times 4000 \\  \\ :  \implies \sf V =800\: v

Potential difference across resistor is 800 v

Answer:

I = 200mA = 0.2 A

R = 4 x 103ohm = 4000 ohm

We know that

V=IR

V = 0.2 x 4000

V = 800 volt
