Answer:

Given,

e=1.6×10

−19

C, I=4.8 A

Let number of electrons per second be n.

The current is defined as rate of flow of charge,

I=

t

q

Hence

q=n×e

Therefore, I=

t

n×e

Substituting values,

4.8 =n×1.6×10

−19

Hence, n=

1.6×10

−19

4.8

=3×10

Given:-

  • Current ,I = 4.8

  • Time,t = 1 s

To Find:-

  • No. of electrons ,n

Solution:-

As we know the current is the amount of charge flowing per unit time.

Charge on electron = 1.6×10-¹⁹

• I = Q/t

→ Q = I×t .........(i)

and we also know

• Q = n×e .........(ii)

From Equation (I) & (ii) we get

→ I = n×e/t

Substitute the value we get

→ 4.8 = n × 1.6×10-¹⁹

→ n = 4.8/1.6×10-¹⁹

→ n = 3×10¹⁹ electrons

Therefore, the no.of electron is 3×10¹⁹ .
