Answer

  • Electrical Energy consumed in 2 minutes is 115.2 k-j

Question

  • A current of 4 A flows in a wire of resistance 60 ohm

To Find

  • Electrical energy consumed in 2 minutes

Solution

  • We know that , " Energy is defined as the product of square of current and resistance and time "

Q = I²RT

Given energy is electrical energy .

Electrical Energy , E = I²RT

Given ,

Current , I = 4 A

Resistance , R = 60 Ω

Time , t = 2 min = 120 s

⇒ E = 4² * 60 * 120

⇒ E = 16 * 7200 A².Ω.s

E = 115.2 kilo-Joules

Answer:

clearly ,

I = 4 A

R = 60 ohm

t = 2 min = 2 * 60  = 120

hence ,

E =    I^{2} Rt

  = 16 * 7200

= 115 .2  KJ
