Given :

▪ Current flow through wire = 5A

▪ Applied pd = 3V

To Find :

▪ Resistance of wire.

Concept :

☞ This question is completely based on the concept of ohm's law.

☞ As per this law, Current passing through a conductor is directly proportional to the applied potential difference. ( At constant temperature)

Mathematically,

\bigstar\:\underline{\boxed{\bf{\pink{V=I\times R}}}}

where,

V denotes applies pd

I denotes flow of current

R denotes resistance

☞ Resistance of conductor depends on the length, area, material and also on temperature.

☞ SI unit : V/m or Ω

Calculation :

\dashrightarrow\sf\:V=I\times R\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:3=5\times R\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:R=\dfrac{3}{5}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\underline{\boxed{\bf{\purple{R=0.6\Omega}}}}\:\gray{\bigstar}

Here we shall use he Ohm's Law,that is,

\underline{\boxed{\green{\sf V=IR}}}

Where,

\quad◕ V = Voltage

\quad◕ I = Current

\quad◕ R = Resistance

Substituting the given values,

\sf V=IR

\sf 3=5\times R

\sf\dfrac{3}{5} = R

\sf\orange{R = 0.6 \ \Omega}
