A current of one ampere flows in a series circuit containing an electric lamp and a conductor of 5 ohm when connected to a 10 volt battery. calculate the resistance of the electric lamp

The relationship between voltage, current and resistance is given by Ohms law.

It states the following relation.

V = I * R

Where V is the potential difference, I is the current and R is the resistance.

R = V/I

Let the resistance of lamp be R’

R’ + 5 = 10/1

R’ = 5 ohms
