Solution :

Dimensions of cylidrical tin:

radius (r) = 8cm

Let the height = h cm

Curved surface area = 704cm²

=> 2πrh = 704cm²

=> 2×(22/7)×8×h=704cm²

=> h = (704×7)/(2×22×8)

=> h = (22×16×2×7)/(16×22)

After cancellation , we get

=> h = 14 cm

Therefore ,

Height of the tin (h) = 14cm
