Define x:

let there be x P1 coins

Number of P5 coins = 22 - x

Solve x:

x + 5(22 - x) = 50

x + 110 - 5x = 50

4x = 60

x = 15

Find the number of coins:

P1 coins = x = 15

P5 coins = 22 - x = 22 - 15 = 7

Answer: There are 15 P1 coins and 7 P5 coins.
