Required Answer :

  • Time taken by the bicycle in covering a distance of 500 km = 50 hours

Given :

  • Speed of a cycle = 10 km/hr
  • Total distance covered by the cycle = 500 km

To find :

  • Total time taken by the cycle in covering the distance of 500 km

Solution :

★ Formula to calculate the time taken by an object when distance, speed is given :-

  • Time = D ÷ S

where,

  • D denotes the distance travelled by the object
  • S denotes the speed of the object

we have,

  • Distance (D) = 500 km
  • Speed (S) = 10 km/hr

Substituting the given values :-

⇒ Time = 500 ÷ 10

⇒ Time = 50

Therefore, the time taken by the cycle = 50 hours
