Given : A cycle was purchased for ₹ 2000 and ₹ 400 were spent on its repairs.

It was then sold at a gain of 12½ %.

To Find: How much did the seller receive?

₹ 2500 ₹ 2650 ₹ 2700 ₹ 2750

Solution:

cycle was purchased for ₹ 2000

spent on its repairs. ₹ 400

Total cost price = 2000 + 400 = 2400 ₹

gain of 12½ %.

gain = ( 12½/100) * 2400 = 300 ₹

Selling Price = 2400 + 300 = 2700 ₹

seller receive ₹ 2700
