A cycle was sold at a gain of 10%. Had it been sold for Rs. 65 more, the gain would

have been 14%. Find the cost price of the cycle.​

Answer:let the CP = 100

then the cycle is sold at 100×10/100=10

SP=100+10=110

but if it had been sold at 65. more then gain would be 14%

than SP would be 114

Difference=114-110=4

4 units = 65

1 unit = 65/4

then CP= 100 UNITS

CP= 100×65/4

CP=25×65

CP=1625
