Answer:

No of revolutions = 500

Distance travelled = 220m

Distance covered in one revolution = 220÷500

= 0.44 m

Circumference = 0.44 m

2\pi \: r = 0.442πr=0.44

r = \frac{0.44}{2\pi} r=

0.44

r= 0.7m

Diameter = 0.14 m

=14 cm

A bicycle wheel makes 500 revolutions in moving 1 km.

In 1 revolution, the bicycle wheel covers

= 1/500 km = 1000/500 m = 2m

1 revolution distance = circumference of the wheel

⇒ 2πr = 2

⇒ 2×22/7×r =2

⇒ r=

 \frac{2 \times 7}{2 \times 22}

=

 \frac{7}{22}

Therefore, diameter (d) = 2r = 2×7/22 = 7/11 = 0.636 m.

Hope it helps u....
