WHAT IS ACCELERATION? HOW TO CALCULATE IT?

The change in Velocity of an moving object per unit time is called ACCELERATION.

It is calculated as below formula :-

a =( v - u ) \div t

a = acceleration      (in meter/second ^2)

v = final velocity     (in meter/sec)

u = initial velocity   ( in meter/sec )

t = time taken         ( in seconds)

GIVEN DATA

FOR CYCLE                    FOR CAR

u = 0 m/s                        u = 0m/s

v = 8 m/s                        v = 30m/s

t = 3 sec                          t = 7sec

TO FIND :- Accelerations

SOLUTION :-

FOR CYCLE,

acceleration = (8 - 0) / 3

                      = 8/3 m/sec^2

                     = 2.67 m/sec^2 ......, eq.01

FOR CAR :-

acceleration = (30 - 0) /7

                     = 30/7  m/sec^2

                     = 4.29 m/sec^ 2   ......, eq.02

FROM EQUATION O1 and O2 we concluded that Car has more accelerated than a cycle.
