Answer:

let the acceleration produce on mopped be a.

so, acceleration on cyclist will be (2/5)a.

now,

force on cyclist=force on mopped

or, mass of cyclist * acceleration on cyclist= mass of mopped* acceleration on mopped. ( f= ma)

or, mass of cyclist* (2/5)a= mass of mopped* a

or, mass of cyclist/ mass of mopped= a/{(2/5)a}

or, m of cylclist / m of mopped= 5a/2a

=5/2

hence answer is 5:2

Answer:

2.5:1

Explanation:

Let acceleration of moped =a1

Let acceleration of cyclist=a2

from given data

acceleration produced by cyclist

a1=2/5a2

forces are equal

therefore

m1a1=m2a2

m1×2/5a2=m2a2

M1/m2=5/2:1

M1/m2=2.5:1
