Given:-

  • Mass of the body is 75 kg
  • Change in velocity from 2m/s - 5 m/s

To find :-

  • Change in momentum

Formulae implemented :-

Change in momentum = m(vf- vu) where,

  • m = mass
  • vf = final velocity
  • vu = initial velocity

Substituting the values,

Change in momentum = 75(5-2)

= 75(3)

= 225

So, the momentum of the body is 225 kgm/s

Know more :-

Momentum is nothing but product of mass and velocity i.e

Momentum = mass × velocity

S.I unit = kgm/s

Dimensional formula = [M¹ L¹ T⁻¹]

Change in momentum nothing but Product of mass and change in velocity
