using equation of motion s= ut+ 1/2at^2. we know that. 50= 0×t +1/2at^2. as cyclist start from rest a= v/t or v = u+ at . then we have. speed = 20m/s distance 50m v=d/t , v= 5/2 , a=5/ 2t putting the value in the equation 50 = 1/2 ×5/2t×t^2. we get t= 2.5 s
