Answer: 16 km / hr

Answer: Formula distance = speed × time

given distance 1.6 km or 1.6 × 1000m = 1600m

time = 6 min or 6×60sec = 360sec

from formula speed formula becomes

speed = distance÷ time

putting values

1600/360 =160/36 cancelling by 4

speed = 40/9 m/s

{point to be remember to change speed from meter per second to km/ hr always multiply with 18/5 }

( to change speed from km / hr to m/s always multiply with 5/18 )

so here to change 40/9 ms to km/hr multiply with 18/5

40/9 × 18/5 = 16 km/ hr
