Calculation of Distance

Answer: At same speed time taken by cyclist to cover 56 km is 4 hours.

Explanation:

given that distance covered by cyclist in 2 hours = 28km

Need to calculate time taken by cyclist to cover a distance of 56 km

As number of hours taken by cyclist to cover 28 km = 2

=> number of hours taken by cyclist to cover 1 km = 2/28

=> number of hours taken by cyclist to cover 56 km = 56 × number of hours taken by cyclist to cover 1 km = 56 × 2/28 = 2 x 2 = 4

so at same speed time taken by cyclist to cover 56 km is 4 hours.
