a cyclist covers first half of a length with a speed of 5 m/s and the second half with a speed of 10 m/s. what is the average speed of the cyclist?

average speed=5+10/2=15/2=7.5m/s

Let the distance be x.
First half=x/2
Second half =x/2
Average speed = Speed 1 + Speed 2 / 2
= 5 + 10 /2
= 7.5 m/sec
