Here Cyclist goes 30 km to North ( OB ) and then travels 40 km to East ( BC ) . Now he takes a right turn by moving 20 km ( CD ) . Now again he turns his right and goes 40 km ( DA ) .

We need to find , " How far is the cyclist from his starting point ? "

From attachment it is crystal clear that his final point is A .

As well his initial ( starting ) point is O .

So , Required distance = OA

➠  OB - AB

AB = CD

➠ OB - CD

➠ 30 - 20

➠ 10 km
