Answer :

Radius of circular path = 105 m

Time taken by cyclist to complete a round = 2 minutes

  • 2 min = 2 × 60 = 120 s

We have to find speed of cyclist.

★ Speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.

  • speed = distance/time

It is a scalar quantity having only magnitude.

It can't be negative or zero.

SI unit : m/s

Distance covered by cyclist after completing one round of circular path will be equal to perimeter of circle. (d = 2πr)

➝ v = 2πr/t

➝ v = 2(3.14)(105)/120

➝ v = 659.4/120

v = 5.5 m/s

speed of cyclist is 5.5 m/s.
