Step-by-step explanation:

Answer :

The total time the cyclist will take to cover a distance of 240 m = 0.02 hours.

Step-by-step explanation :

Given :

Speed of a cyclist = 12 km/hr

Distance to be covered by the cyclist = 240 m

To find :

The total time the cyclist will take to cover a distance of 240 m

Solution :

Here, we need to calculate the time the cyclist will take to cover 240 m. So, for that firstly we shall convert the distance to be covered from metres into kilometres.

As we know,

1 km = 1000 m

So, in order to convert the value of distance from km into m, divide it by 1000.

→ Distance = 240/1000

→ Distance = 24/100

→ Distance = 0.24 km

Now, we shall use the following formula to calculate the time :-

Time = Distance ÷ Speed

We have,

Distance = 0.24 km

Speed = 12 km/h

Substituting the given values :-

→ Time = 0.24 ÷ 12

→ Time = 24 ÷ (12 × 100)

→ Time = 2/100

→ Time = 0.02

Therefore, the total time the cyclist will take to cover a distance of 240 m = 0.02 hours.

\huge\tt{ANSWER}

The man traverses 15 km/hour so in one hour the man travels 15 km or say in 60 minutes he travels 15km so in one minute he travels 1/4 km so he travels 12 km in 48 minutes. If you want to say any time lag happens. Then its not true because 15km/hour is not even close to the speed of light. So if any time lag happens its negligible might be a few nano seconds. So we should not take this into account.

Hope it helps uh..!
