a cyclist is moving around a circular path of radius 21m, in 5 min he covers three rounds calculate the total distance covered by him , total displacement and the speed during his journey.​

(a) Total distance covered  

s = 2πr × t  

s = 2πr × 3  

= 2 × 22 / 7 × 63 × 3  

= 1188 m  

(b) Displacement = zero  

(c) Speed = Distance covered / time taken  

= 1188 / 180 = 6.6  m / s  

( ∵ 3 min = 3 × 60 = 180 sec )
