a cyclist is travelling at a speed of 4.0 metre per second.the total mass of cycle and its Rider is 128 kg. assuming the frictional force exerted by road negligible calculate 1- the value of the constant force which makes stop the cyclist in 10 second 2- the value of the force which may stop him at a distance of 25.6

u = 4m/s
v = 0m/s
Mass = 128 kg
t = 10 s
Acceleration = (v-u)/t
= -4/10
= -0.4 s
Force = ma
= 128 * -0.4
= -51.2 N

Distance(s) = 25.6 m
2as=v^2-u^2
2 * a * 25.6 = 0 - 16
50.12a=-16
a=-16/50.12
a=-0.3192

Force = ma
= 128 * 0.3192
=-40.85 Newton
