Given:-

  • Radius of Circular track = 50m

  • No. of Revolution = 1

  • Time Taken to Cover the Revolution = 4min → 4 × 60 = 240s.

To Find:-

  • Average Speed

  • Average Velocity

Formulae used:-

  • Average Speed = Total Distance Covered/Time taken

  • Average Velocity = Total Displacement Covered/Time taken.

Now,

→ Circumference of track = Total Distance = 2πr

→ 2 × 3.14 ×50 = 314m.

→ Total Time taken = 240s.

→ Average Speed = 314/240 → 1.3m/s

Hence, The average speed is 1.309m/s

Now, we have to find Average Velocity, the cyclist after covering one revolution comes to the same Point and Hence, Displacement = 0

So,

→ Total Displacement Covered = 0m

→ Total time taken = 240s

→ Average Velocity = 0/240.

Therefore, The Average Velocity will be 0m/s.
