Correct Question:-

A cyclist moving with an initial velocity of 4m/s is uniformly accelerated at 3m/s².Find the distance travelled by the ccyclist in 6seconds.

To Find:-

  • Find the distance travelled by the cyclist in 6 seconds.

Solution:-

We can find the the final velocity by using the first equation of motion:-

u = 4m/s ; a = 3m/s² ; t = 6sec ; s = ? ; v = ?

v = u + at

v = 4 + 3(6)

v = 4 + 18

\boxed{\bf{\color{yelow}{ \: v \:  =  \: 22m/s \: }}}

We can find the the distance by using the third equation of motion:-

s = ut + 1/2 at²

s = 4(6) + 1/2 × 3 × 6 × 6

s = 24 + 3 × 3 × 6

s = 24 + 54

\boxed{\bf{\color{yelow}{ \: s \:  =  \: 78m \: }}}
