A cyclist rides his cycle with the speed of 30 m/s for the first half and the next half length he covers with the speed of 45 m/s. Find the average speed of the cyclist.

distance covers same

speed and time inversely proportional

speed from 30 to 45

speed get increased to 45/30 times

so time get inceeased to 30/45 times

So

average speed

= 2× 30 /( 30/45 +1)

=60 × 45/ 75

= 60 × 3/5 = 3× 12 = 36 m/s
