a cyclist traveling at a uniform speed covers a distance 9km in 30 minutes find the speed of cyclist in m/s.

given ,
distance=9km=9000m
time=30min=(30x60)sec=1800sec
now,
speed=total distance travelled/total time taken
=9000/1800=5 m/s

\textbf{SOLUTION :}

According to question we have given;

Distance covered by an cyclist (d) = 9 Km

= 9 × 1000 = 9000 m

Time (t) = 30 min

= 30 × 60 = 1800 sec.

Now,

 Distance = Speed\:×\:Time

Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}

Speed = \dfrac{9000}{1800}

Speed = 5\:m/s
