Ratio=9:35Concept:

We use Speed-distance relation.

Given

A cyclist travels 27 km in 3 hours, whereas a car covers 70 km in 2 hours.

Find:

The ratio of speeds

Solution:

We  know

speed=\frac{Distance}{time}

For cyclist

S_{1}=\frac{27km}{3hours}\\S_{1}=9kmph

For Car

s_{2}=\frac{70km}{2hours} \\s_2=35kmph

Hence the ratio is

Ratio=9:35
